I used to be a charcoal purist. Then I got lazy.
And annoyed every time I wanted to cook something simplar like hot dogs or brats and had to use a bunch of charcoal and wait a half hour before cooking. And annoyed every time I decided I wanted to grill out, and didn't have any charcoal. That's why I went for the gas grill. Convenience. Honestly, I make mighty fine steaks, and I think I do just as good a job on the gas grill as I did on the charcoal grill. I would DEFINATELY go with a stainless steel model with brass burners. They will last a lot longer than the cheap black steel models.
