Ah, phones.

I have different needs for different times. My wife and I have an unlocked
GSM world phone for international travel. It is small and cute and fairly
generic. You can buy something like that for about $100, just make sure it
is factory unlocked so you can buy prepaid GSM cards wherever you go.

For business, I have the Verizon VX6700, which is a great smartphone and
pretty much does everything. The only issue I have with it is size- it is a
little bulky (not nearly as bad as the 6600, but still bulky) and unless I
remember to lock it, I sometimes end up pressing buttons and calling people
inadvertently just from having it in my pocket.

What I would like for evenings and other times is a small, simple phone.
Really small. The only requirement I have is that I be able to sync my
contacts to it. Verizon phones don't have a pull out ID card like GSM, but I
found out from a Verizon guy that you can use their web site to change the
phone that your number is registered to. So I might get a second phone and
just switch the number when I want the small size.

I just took a look at the Verizon Wireless site, and they are now offering
phones with a service called VZ Navigator- a GPS system in the phone. Pretty
cool, but the phones with it are a little on the big side. I want something
small.
