Too much Rush has turned your brain to mush. Here are the facts of
the case - and they're simple:

(1.) The CIA requested that the Justice dept look into the outing of
one of their undercover operatives - yes, the *CIA* says Plame was
covert. Quibble, but that's what THEY say, and THEY requested the
investigation. Your opinion on Plame is irrelevant.

(2.) Fitzgerald had to halt his investigation because, in his words,
Libby "threw sand in the eyes of the umpire" meaning that Fitzgerald
could not finish his investigation because Fibby was obstructing the
investigation.

(3.) Because Fibby was obstructing the investigation, Fitzgerald
charged him with a felony obstruction and perjury.

(4.) A grand jury, a jury, and 3 Bush appointed judges found Fibby
guilty and worthy of jail amongst other punitive actions for his
obstruction. (According to you they were all duped by Russert)

(5.) While Armitage may have been *A* leaker, Fitzgerald, (a.) could
not charge him under the law, but (b.) could not finish his
investigation for OTHER LEAKERS due to Fibby's obstruction.

Finally, Bush the Scooter Commuter, took action for any or all of 3 reasons:

1.) He felt there was a miscarriage of justice. (this is not the case
since he let the verdict stand and said that himself.)

2.) Cheney cashed in his chips to get his buddy outa jail (or used his
Dark Overlord powers)

3.) Bush knew that Scoots in jail was a ticking time bomb.
