IT"S NOT PROVEN!
It's pure speculation that it's man made. Why can't you understand that?

But the problem is that once it is 100% Confirmed and Proven(R), one is looking
at it historically and it will be rather too late to do anything if it turns
out true and if something could have been done.

So, as so many have said so many ways, we can look at this speculation that has
some rather compelling arguments and take reasonable steps to try and improve
the results or we can sit on our butts - deny everything until it is proven one
way or the other. But then if the speculation turns out correct we are pretty
hosed.

The earth will go on quite happily no matter the average temperature. Life
will also go on pretty happily, unless you also agree that evolution is not
proven and thus no life will be able to adjust to the changing environment.
I'll even go so far as saying humanity will probably survive as we are rather
adaptable and have the earth fairly well covered so that no matter how this
comes out somebody, somewhere will make do.

But I am pretty sure I would not enjoy all the strife and conflict that can and
most probably would occur if the climate does make a major change and
eventually the mid-west and California agriculture regions become future
Saharas even if the current Sahara become the breadbasket it apparently once
was.

Add that with the fairly basic economic concept that it is easier, cheaper and
more effective to make changes slowly and steadily from an early start then
quickly and in a rush at the end, I really have a hard time agreeing with any
of your conclusions Sam no matter how many lone wolfs you find that disagree
with the establishment.
