Hey I love this analogy!!!

The ultra conservative weirdos will say that you have over-hyped the size of
the truck, and that you can't even prove that it's really in our lane...and
therefore they will take NO action to get out of the way.

The ultra libs will tell you that the truck is a split second away from
hitting us, that it's 40 feet long and weighs 9 billion pounds, and that
it's OUR fault that it's in the wrong lane.

The rest of us acknowledge that there is definitely something coming at us,
and that it appears to be in our lane, and that if things continue EXACTLY
as they are now, down the road we're gonna be in some trouble. So....we
should start looking at reasonable means of getting out of the truck's way.
Or, better yet, a way to get that truck back into it's own lane.
