Which LG phone is that? I personally just love having a phone I can customize
the heck out of, which is what Windows Mobile gives you. First thing I did in
fact was load up the original HTC ROM which is far superior to what AT&T puts
on there. And don't like the browser or email client? There's plenty of others
you can use (Opera mini really flies on this but I still prefer the more
full-featured Opera Mobile). FlexMail is an excellent email client I've used in
the past, by the same folks that do Pocket Informant (awesome PIM replacement).
And you can customize what appears when you turn on the phone and on your Today
screen. Here's a screenshot of my Today screen:

There's little that can't be accomplished if you look around at what's
available. I have a neat freeware utility for instance that can do all kinds of
networks tests (DNS lookup, ping, etc.) I'm currently trying out a new one that
can perform scheduled backups of my device over FTP. You can even use Remote
Desktop on it. ;-)
The great thing about this device is that it has so much more free memory than
most smartphones, even without using a memory card.
