Forgot to add that I picked up this little gem from the Whitehouse Social 
Briefing Room site:

Basically its a comparison of the US to other Organization for Economic 
Cooperation and Development countries.  For the combined mathematics scores, 
the US was well below the OECD average of 500 - the US was at 483.
