I think it's important for people of faith to come to understand that
morality can be borne from other sources, and that people who do not share
their religion, or who profess no religious affiliation at all....can be and
usually are, moral upstanding people.

Likewise, atheists or others who profess no religious affiliation need to
come to an understanding that to many people, religion is an extremely
important aspect in their lives, an aspect that has almost become essential
for them to establish and maintain their moral integrity.
