This is where it gets confusing. A wide spectrum of believers have attached themselves to "Intelligent Design" and intend to use it to promote various agendas. The more 'middle' ground side of the spectrum can have some interesting things to say and aren't necessarily trying to use ID to 'counter' evolution.
