Well I'm not a Prius owner, but I do have some data points for you as I've done my own unscientific poll: Friend in Dallas: claims 52, almost no highway driving, mostly light-to-light 45 & 50 mpg. Dude in Seattle: 40 mpg, lots of hills, low highway miles, but lots of idling due to ferry. Minneapolis: 42 mpg, low to moderate highway miles, and there's winter here now. My goal for next year is to beat them all with a diesel!
