Get a bunch of little toys and look for them under the couch every day as they tend to disappear there often. They make this Cardboard claw thing now days... sits on an angle and the cats love that thing for some reason. Might be the Catnip under the cardboard that draws them to it, but better than then the furniture. Cats will claw the furniture though so just be careful. not much you can do except yell at them or something. Get the liners that go inside the kitty litter box. You can hold your breath long enough to empty the littler box. Other than that, enjoy. I love cats. Now that I work from home I can say they do absolutely nothing during the day.
