Thanks for the heads up. I've had cablemodem before and switched to DSL for the price. What a let-down! Our max transfer rate is 1.5 Mbps. With cable it was buzzing around 5. I live in a rural area that happens to be be in the path of the main trunks connecting Niagara Falls to Rochester... Adelphia (now Time Warner) planted 4 cablemodem nodes in my area, which has a total population of around 4000. Speeds are PHENOMINAL here, it was the rates that sucked. As for switching the phones to only cell, that's not really an option.
