That's the biggest reason I went with nVidia over ATI.  I'm hearing the new
drivers are better this way.

Looks good to me, probably give you around a 3.6 or so score on Vista.
And Vista's not bad, just have to watch for compatibility issues but
that's not really MS's responsibility.. the software makers should be
on the ball with keeping their software updated and compatible. Just
my 2.5 cents.
