Yep so the vista haters were correct. Got my sound issue handled and now for some reason as I am playing the machine gets bogged down more and more.
Even after closing all the services and background applications I know are safe this OS takes up about 4 X the memory and my processor sits around 50% utilization, SITS, as in doing nothing. Bah, the first half hour is great but then things start getting really jerky.
