I know I've said the man is Evil, but that was tongue in cheek. I've brought up Carnegie, and Nietzsche in the past, not just to drop names, but because there is something interesting about "good" and "bad". Humans are wonderfully complicated and intriguing creatures. Take Carnegie-- union buster, library builder. Is he good or bad? What's history got to say about him? History is fun too, because it's not like, I don't know, any more factual than anything else. One side says Columbus was a saint, another, a sinner. Some people are just like "wow, people are people. fascinating. tell me more". That said, W. Bush has done some Bad Things(tm), that I believe have seriously damaged our country. Good, bad... I'm the guy with the gun -- meaning, sorta, that good and bad are besides the point. An oil man is in charge, and oil makes the most money ever? Coincidence, I'm sure. =] I value individual's liberties, the constitution, and the checks and balances that have kept us strong for these last couple centuries. No matter the outcome in Iraq, I'm saddened by what has transpired, and will always remember the arrogance with which our core beliefs were trashed. I'll also remember the lack of caring by most people. Wow. Life is a trip. You live, you learn, right? The sad part is how predictable the whole thing has been. Oh well. =] Since I believe that everything happens for a reason, and ultimately a "good" one (although my definition of good may shock some), I'm not too bothered, but it's good to say when crap ain't right, and there's been a lot that hasn't been right with this one. >From a certain kind of person's perspective, at least. Neh? I know what I'll be telling my children about this president. (hint: won't be as complicated as Carnegie (who's actually not looking too bad these days- history is a trip! )) Remember when, "if only we could tear that wall down"? Heh. My kids will never know of the Berlin Wall. -- not like I did, at least. All our problems were not over, though. -- you don't know what you've got till it's gone / something something, put up a parking lot ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;160198600;22374440;w Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:256482 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
