It will be a long time before anyone can properly judge Bush's legacy. Iraq
is at the center of it all. If Iraq becomes a stable, moderate force for
freedom in the Middle East that helps to bridge the gap between Islam and
the West, Bush goes down as one of the boldest presidents in U.S. history.
If Iraq becomes a failed state or pushes the wider region into long-term
military conflict, Bush goes down as a reckless gambler who wasted our blood
and treasure. And there are lots of possibilites in between those two
outcomes.

At this point, judging Bush's legacy is nothing but an exercise in partisan
bickering.

BTW, the biggest thing that he has accomplished to date- no attacks on U.S.
soil since 9/11.
