She goes on to sacrifice herself in a nuclear explosion to save the crew 
and civilians from the original human/cylon experiment.

While this series does showcase how horrific humans can be (Gauis) it 
also shows the heroic and honorable (Lee Adama's defense, Adm. Adama in 
general).

Honestly man, and not just as a sci fi nut, this is an incredible drama.
