Also something else to consider about wireless. Over the last couple of years the telcos and cable companies have been able to squash the municipal wireless experiments. Look what happened with Philadelphia's efforts. The telcos managed to get a law pushed through the state legislature banning any other municipality from trying anything similar, and forcing Philadelphia to run its efforts through Earthlink. BTW Earthlink announced last month that they are shutting down the Philadelphia sponsored wireless system.
As I said any efforts to compete seem to compete get squashed. Its an unregulated monopoly. >On Sun, Jun 8, 2008 at 9:22 PM, Larry Lyons <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> And who owns the last mile?
