You so desperately want to blame this all on Bush, huh? 1. Speculation in the market is all about supply and demand. Demand is growing and no one think supply will keep up. That equals higher prices. Fears about demand disruption center around Iran, not Iraq. Bush has deferred to Europe on the Iran question. So do we blame Europe for failing to solve the crisis?
2. The Saudis are running out of easily exploitable oil. They don't want to admit it for fear of creating a panic that pushes oil even higher. 3.
