IMHO, hallways are a waste of space when you are talking about a condo
with limited square footage.  The den actually has a little wall
separating it from the entry hallway and it doesn't have any windows,
so I'd prefer it be as open as possible.

Yeah - I could buy a big ole house in the Atlanta suburbs for that,
and then spend 3 hours a day in my car.  I'd have to get in my car to
go anywhere at all.  You pay a little more for this location, but you
get 10 or so restaurants/bars within walking distance, dry cleaning,
postal, coffee shop, 2 fitness places, etc...  All within walking
distance.  The only thing I need that's not within walking distance
right now is a small grocery market for misc items I may need to grab
- like ketchup or a 6 pack of brews.

That place is about a block and a half from my current place - I love
the neighborhood.
