We have looked at these and there are some really great groups that get together and do long distance trips. Just like Sea Ray and Marine Max put together these great trips for owners every year... but Charles doesn't want a sail boat. So unless we find one that is really really easy to handle, we'll be doing a motor boat.
The community is amazing. We've been visiting docks and meeting people from Marinas, and the helpfulness and friendliness rivals that of farm communities. If you are a people person, and love a close knit community - boaters are a great bunch. And yeah, internet access on a boat is a snap now. Keeps getting cheaper and cheaper. And with VoIP, communication is taken care of, and Garmin can get you anywhere. You barely need to read a map. Our goal is spring of 2010 (his retirement date). This is a great looking boat by the way! http://www.cata-lagoon.com/images/bato/l420/n_G8A1810.jpg On Tue, Jul 8, 2008 at 6:00 PM, Gruss Gott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Have you ever considered a sailing cat?
