My current usb drive, a sandisk cruzer 2gb, is getting long in the tooth. I'd
like suggestions on a new model. I'm looking at something in the 8gb range,
though I might spend the money for a 16gb model if the price and features are
right.

I like the fact that the sandisk doesn't have an end cap to lose(the usb
interface slides into the drive). I'd like something similiar on my new drive.
The reason I'm posting here is because it is hard to tell from pics if the
drive has a losable cap or not, so I'm hoping to get some input from those with
drives with the features I'm looking for.

What I dislike about the sandisk is the aweful u3 launch utility that it has on
it. When I first plug the drive in, it pops up in my computer and is
accessable, but then disappears and is unaccessable until the launch program
loads. I even tried deleting the partion and reformatting but the app was
still there.

I don't want of need the ability to launch programs, I just want pure data
storage. Can anyone suggest a good drive?

Thanks.
