That's the core of our disagreement - I think he is. If I know it's I'm accountable for what an employee 5 times removed does, I'm sure as hell going to put process in place to ensure that - as much as humanly possible - I know EXACTLY what's going on, spot risks before they become issues, and have mitigation plans in place should something happen. Now, will shit happen? Sure. But a good leader takes accountability for shit happening and plans around it. e.g., business continuity plan. A good leader considers herself responsible and accountable for everything that happens in her area of control whether it's "her fault" or not. If someone is uncomfortable with that level of responsibility then they shouldn't seek leadership positions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:268790 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
