Quick google turned up this:

http://www.fileinfo.net/extension/dbm
The DBM file extension was used by ColdFusion 5 and earlier; newer
versions of ColdFusion use the .CFM extension.

I've built and worked on a lot of CF sites since 95-96 and never seen
that. Just thought I would have heard of it.
