Did they teach me 2 different ways to solve a problem: evaluating the
problem and praying for the answer?
No, but oddly enough the praying for answers came naturally once I learned
corporeal punishment was the price for wrong answers. I'm sure my
classmates would say the same.

But on a more serious note, trying to learn how to do long division and
studying creationism vs evolution is a different ball game.
Since evolution is still just a theory, and not a law, why not present
another possible theory. I don't advocate doing too deep into creationism
in a science class but it can't hurt to briefly mention, "And there is
another less scientific theory, creationism, that competes with evolution.
It's the theory that...blah blah blah."

I think the issue is teaching it as a competing theory against
evolution. When you were in math class, they didn't teach you two
different ways of solving a problem -- one by evaluating the equation
and the other by praying for the answer.
