I never hinted at the fact that I thought people were legally obligated to serve in the military. I am really not sure where you got that idea. Yes, they are contractually obligated to serve their term, but only AFTER they VOLUNTARILY agreed to that contract. There is no such voluntary contract you enter into to not steal or not drive fast.
If it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, keep thinking you are doing 'service to your country' by paying taxes, and not stealing, etc... I will continue to appreciate those who are truly 'serving' this country.
