Absolutely....I could care less if he was off, this is still a major issue that needs to be addressed. He's hardly the first politician (or president) to give misinformation or get his facts a bit skewed. FYI - my favorite site for checking facts after speeches is factcheck.org. They seem to be more balanced and not slanted so much to one side or the other as other news groups tend to be, which makes it a little easier for me to trust the information. As stated elsewhere, his number fits the total number of bankruptcies, not the ones due to health costs specifically. One thing also to keep in mind about health insurance is that not everyone is able to "shop" for insurance, let alone afford it. Many have to take what their employer offers (if they even do), or if you are like me and have to get your own, you'd better never have had a major health issue or landed in the hospital in 10+ years or you'll be denied left and right. You pretty much are stuck with whatever health insurance is offered by your state, and if you are in a state that doesn't have guaranteed insurance coverage, well, you are pretty much out of luck at that point. And even though I am lucky enough to have guaranteed insurance here in PA, the cost is quite high....more than anyone could afford unless they are making WAY over minimum wage. And the cost of it continues to go up hundreds of dollars each year.
