Avoid these criminals! Complete violation of TILA!
I get a change in terms back in Jan 2009 for 10.24%, up from 8.74%, with the billing date of March 6th. March 6th rolls around and my APR is 17.99%. When I called, they state that the change in terms in received in Jan 2009 was a mistake and it would actually be 17.99%. I should have received a letter in regards to that. I did not. Now, I cannot opt out. Of course, nobody would fix it. I went up the food chain four times on Saturday. When I called the fifth time, they just hung up saying I was harassing them. Good, I was. I transferred the balance of $900 to my Bank of American, at 8.99%. But, I left a $1 credit on the Chase card. I hope they send me statements for the next few years in regards to a $1 credit on my account. Avoid these morons.
