As for them being a religion, lets see. Belief in a specific creed. check. ritual supporting that creed. check. attempts to proselytize that creed. check. Looks religious to me. They could even be one of those blasphemous PHP users. ;) Anytime you have a belief and a practice associated with that belief, you're in the realm of religion.
