I hear you, but you do know one person who bought a house in the last 8 years and is not upside down. Me. And I personally am absolutely 100% sure that the home prices will go back up to that level again - just a matter of how long it will take. Probably more than 5 years, but unless your neighborhood is transforming into row after row of crack houses it will go back up.
