>so I don't know how our boys acted. >If they were sulking or whatnot, that would be disappointing.....
They were not sulking anymore than ANY pro team would minutes after a difficult loss. I sure didn't see anything I would call sulking....they just aren't going to go up there and celebrate winning the medal the way they might be able to if given even a few hours to digest the loss and reflect on what they really accomplished. Think the Canadians would have been any different if the roles were reversed? Think they would have stood up there and cheered for the Americans winning and looked happy about it? Heck no. Miller even gave an interview to NBC immediately after leaving the podium, something I can't even imagine doing in his situation...truly a role model for professionalism in that situation. I know most of you on here are not into the figure skating, but for real sulking, Plushenko sure could give anyone a run for their money. In short track, there seems to be a constant dialog about who did or did not "deserve" to medal. Or even how about Federer breaking down in tears at losing the Aussie Open? There's such a thing as being a gracious winner and criticizing any team for being disappointed about losing (not for their words or actions afterwards, but just the emotion of being disappointed) is, well, pretty sucky. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
