Which WWII one? The Alien Invasion series or the thinly disguised
propaganda piece supporting the Iraq War?

That said, I still like his Videssos series based on the Byzantine
Empire. That has the strongest feel of authenticity to it. Which fits
since Turtledove did his PhD in Byzantine History. There are a few
stand alone pieces I like, such as his alternative Spanish Armada
novel Ruled Britannia.
