Maybe make it harder to get married...maybe a few classes on relationships
and raising children would be a good start...

Am I the only one who thinks those statistics are scary?

Seriously though I don't think we can blame our politicians for the divorce
rate. That's a problem with our society in general. The only thing the
politicians could do to affect it would be to make divorces harder to get.
Frankly that would be a counter productive approach to the problem. You
might see a decrease in the divorce rate, but you wouldn't see the more
important (in my opinion) rise in happy marriages to go with it.
