That actually sounds familiar as well. But I still think there are
many restaurants, maybe even more than not, where if you did the same
thing, you would get similar results.

Imagine eating every meal at Outback and saying yes to the Bloomin'
onion every time they asked?

Most restaurants try to up-sell you on stuff - usually the 'special'.
In this respect, McDonalds is no different than any other restaurant
out there so going after McDonalds simply because they are an easy
target is disingenuous.
