One of my favorite days in Oregon began early on a Saturday, waking up in a yurt on the beach and sea kayaking in the surf, then mountain biking in the mountains under the big Sitka spruce rain forest, hitting Mt Hood in the afternoon for snowboard lessons, and setting up camp that night amongst the sage and juniper in the high desert under the stars.
_That_ was a pretty good day. I cannot recommend the Northwest highly enough as a great place to live. Unfortunately, my family lives in New England, and I grew to miss them too much to stay West.
