Yeah, which is why I've resisted jQuery for so long.  I'm pretty decent 
with my JavaScript, so I've never really struggled to do what little 
I've ever really needed to do.  Nor do I work generally work on fancy 
shrmancy websites that get to use all these bells and whistles, such as 
a slider. :-)

So, I happen to have some time currently to fiddle with a personal 
project to practice some skills and I figured I would see what I could 
do with a few of these bells and whistles.
