Cuccinelli wants UVA to turn over records pertaining to global warming research to make sure public funding was not used to commit fraud. Don't see a problem with this one. Anyone receiving public funding should submit to auditing. Cuccinelli concentrated on GW, which is political theater. He should have made a more general approach like mine. UVA is protesting saying it violates Academic freedom. I have no problem with that. Education is not a federal mandate. It's a state mandate. This is an extension of a 2008 Virginia law that requires a check of immigration status of anyone taken into custody who is suspected of committing a different crime. Cuccinellis says VA may not recognize marriages performed outside of Virginia. Pure political theater aimed at not recognizing gay marriage.
