The freedom comment was in response to Eric's comment on there being a freedom to have a strip club outside a school.
There is no freedom being trumped by the mosque. It's a commercial area with a mixed population and pre-existing religious locations. There are no zoning laws being violated, no illegal actions being performed, etc. The ONLY issue is one of sentiment. It makes people 'feel bad'. This is an argument that I see a lot when it comes to appeasement but I'm going to leave that for sometime else.
