Back in 96-97 I only had to suffer through dialup Internet for a short time.
Sarasota was one of the first places to get @Home broadband service during
their initial testing in early-to-mid 1997.  Seems like just yesterday I was
on the phone with the @Home abuse department for running a web server on my
connection, hah!
