For a good credit score you should owe less than 35% of your available
credit card balances.  The "no payments for a year" deals are often a
credit card, and that credit card's limit is frequently just over the
dollar amount of whatever you are buying.  So, effectively you own
nearly 100% of available credit for that card for a year.

That will hurt your score.
