We all probably know that today is the 25th anniversary of the Space
Shuttle Challenger disaster.

We were discussing the event with our boys, and showed them the video
of what happened. We also impressed upon them the importance of the
mission with Christa McAuliffe being the first civilian on a Shuttle
Mission.

We also watched President Reagan's adress to the nation that night. I
had almost forgot how great of a speaker Reagan was. I was a senior in
high school when this happened and I remember crying when the
explosion happened, and again later that night with his speech.

I know there are some on this list who do not like his politics, but,
he was a great speaker.

There are two lines from Reagan speeches I will never forget:

'...as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and “slipped
the surly bonds of earth” to “touch the face of God.” '

And

'Mr.Gorbachev, tear down this wall'
