Not hugely strong support but as it stands right now, The White House
has come out against Mubarak shutting down the Internet and has pled
with him to allow dissent and protest but Biden also said, yesterday,
that Mubarak is not a dictator and when asked if Mubarak should resign
he said: "No. I think the time has come for President Mubarak to begin
to move in the direction that - to be more responsive to some... of
the needs of the people out there."

They are trying to walk a fine line and it's hard. You don't want to
be seen as being overly meddlesome in the internal affairs of other
countries but the US also has a tradition to uphold encouraging
freedom and democracy.

So, we'll see. Mostly I want this to all go down with as little
violence as possible and I want to see the phone lines and Internet
open up again so I can be sure that my friends are safe.
