"The poor need IDs more than the well-to-do." Definitely true. While white middle classers and above may get a pass on the ID sometimes, I bet those who are quite so polished get pulled more often and carded more often.

Whether consciously or not, they tend to see what they want to see and to find what they want to find. The impulse to evaluate reality by how it vindicates the greater theory leads to a selective use of facts, cooking the books, and simply making things up when the facts dont cooperate. In other words, ideologues draw conclusions prior to investigating.
