Yes, I know.  But the rhetoric is that raising taxes would kill job
creation.  So it's simple.  Create jobs, pay a lower tax rate.

I think the whole "there are no jobs" stuff is just BS.  I've been
trying to hire a dependable graphic artist to do redesigns on my
websites for months, and can't get anyone who actually wants to work.
Lots of people who say they want a paycheck..none who will show up and
do the job.

Also, I know several "unemployed" people who are sitting on their
butts on front of the TV bitching about how Obama messed up their
life, but offer them suggestions on how or where to find work, and
they always have excuses for why your suggestion won't help.
