But it's soccer mom that is going to write the check and hire you back for
the next gig. So play it! Remember they only heard the songs on the radio
and those songs are only 3-6 minutes long.. You have plenty of time to get
in everything.

You shouldn't care what they want to hear. It's not your party it's theirs.
The same thing applies to playing in a bar band. If you want to be the big
band in the town you better be playing the music they want to hear and not
just what you like. 

So ask yourself why you are DJing. Is it to make extra money or is to force
your personal taste of music upon the less diverse mainstream horde?
