well... when I was at Santa Fe Community College I worked for the distance
education department. That area is kinda victim to an unfortunate patent
that was granted to Blackboard early on -- I tell you, I personally would
not advise it. Colleges all have budget problems, and want to stint on
things they don't understand. And yes, there is way too much powerpoint. If
he really really wants to go into this field, I'd suggest finding a program
that would teach him about codecs and video technologies that wouldn't
pigeonhole him into a field where there may only be about a hundred
vacancies in the DC area, yanno?
