I feel your pain. I turned off some windows services once and it took a
couple days to figure out which ones I should have left alone and how they
were supposed to sign on. I am on windows 7 but hmm let me see if this site
I used has an xp version....it does. I was a bit leery of the user name,
but the windows 7 info here was on the money....
