I use the Pomodoro technique for time management. It changed my life.
U get so much more accomplished now than before I started using it.

I am a compulsive list maker, so bad that I created my own project
management system to track the tasks. I print a list for tasks for
the day every morning, by priority, and work my way down the list
ticking off each task as it is completed.

I close all browser tabs or programs that are not related to the task
on which I am working.

I use playlists of songs on my iPod that have no emotional
connections, or anything that is likely to cause me distraction.

I also filter to the bit bucket anyone with whom I might be inclined
to engage in political or religious arguments, and limit my list
reading to my free time when the tasks of the day are done.
