"Wait, Jerry, are you saying that announcing his personal support for gay
marriage is fascist?"

Nope. I asked her if she wants him to become more fascistic. I didn't say
anything about President Obama's new found support for gay marriage being
fascistic. Personally, I am glad he took a stand. While I may not always
agree with a politician who are straight shooters, I respect them a lot
more (one of the many reasons I can't stand Mitt Romney). On the issue of
gay marriage, I'll take the same stand as my wife who says the homosexuals
should have the same right to be miserable as heterosexuals.

"Because I'm pretty sure that Dana's comment that you quoted was about
announcing
his personal support for gay marriage."

Whatever. Here's what Dana said again.

"shrug, maybe they heard enough from people like me saying dude, quit
trying to find common ground with people determined to undermine you or who
are pushing their own agenda to the exclusion of yours. Do something that
needs to be done. Period."

Take it for what you want. To me, it seems a lot more general than support
for gay marriage. Seems like she is saying he should push his agenda
regardless of what other people want, even a majority (interesting when you
consider the definition of democracy and his party). You may be
more attuned to reading her intentions than me.
