That about sums it up, really.  The same can be said of a lot of
things such as (many, but not all) people who drive a Prius, or make a
point of telling everyone how frequently they attend mass/church/youth
group/temple/meetup/AA/other higher cause that motivates them, become
vegetarian or vegan, etc.  There are also many people that do these
things and aren't jerks about it.  The research is interesting, but
I'm not sure how applicable it is to anything for use as a metric.
